Welcome to Our Monkee Love Auction!

Who are the Monkees? We are a group of very different people with one common belief: We Belong To Each Other. You can read more about us here and here.

Who are Evy and Rocky? Evy is a very little girl fighting a very big disease called cancer. And she's winning. Read more about Evy here, here and here. Rocky is another little girl fighting a big disease called HIV. Rocky's going to win, too. But she's in Africa now, and she needs to get home to her family in Canada to start receiving the proper medical and love treatments. Evy belongs to Jill and Rocky belongs to Tova.

But really, We all Belong To Each Other.

Which is why we're here. Which is why you're here. During the next 48 hours, we plan to raise enough money to send Evy to rehabilitation camp in March and to bring Rocky home to her family in 2011. We're gonna do it. We can feel it.

Please browse the items below, which were donated with love by fellow Monkees. Decide on something wonderful, and add a comment with your bid. This auction will end on Tuesday evening at 8pm EST. On Wednesday morning, auction winners and donors will be matched up to arrange shipping, and payment will be collected via our Monkee PayPal account. All proceeds will be kept public, and I (Glennon) will write the checks to Tova and Jill on Wednesday night.

And on Thursday We Will All Be Very Thankful, Indeed. That turkey's gonna taste so good this year.

Thank you visiting, Thank you for bidding, Thank you for believing.

Love, Glennon, Andrea, and TWMF (The Whole Monkee Family)

Lord's Chapel by Colleen Conrad

Bid starts at $10.00
Bidding in Increments of $2.00

About the painting: I was inspired to paint this scene by a series of books I read entitled The Mitford Series, by Jan Karon. Lord’s Chapel is a focal point throughout the series and I quickly developed a mental image. By the time I finished all 9 books I wanted to visit Mitford and meet everyone. Obviously that was not going to happen so I created part of it myself.

Print Details:  “Lords Chapel” is a signed and numbered limited edition fine art archival print of an original watercolor painted by me. The image area is 8 1/4 inches x 5 ¼ inches. The image is printed on an 8 ½ by 11 inch sheet of Somerset Photo Enhanced fine art paper, 100% cotton, acid free paper, using archival quality Epson durabrite inks. The print is packaged in a clear, acid and lignin free bag with a re-sealable adhesive strip on the outside of the bag and shipped in a sturdy flat mailer with cardboard to avoid bending in transit. The print comes with a Certificate of Authenticity.
About Me:

Born and raised in Hopewell, NJ and now live in Titusville, NJ with my husband of 26  years, and 2 crazy dogs, Darla and Buddy, both rescue dogs.

As a child I loved to color, I had a big box of crayons and always went for the color that was a little different.  I don’t recall if coloring everything it’s true color was important.  I don’t think I went crazy with colors.  I do recall that staying in the lines was very important.  The finished work had to be neat!  Once I became too old to color (which I now realize never really happens) my mother taught me how to sew.   Color again was a fascination, I always used fabrics that were colorful.   After graduating high school, photography was artistic outlet.   Eventually, thru friends, I worked my way back to color and ended up in a watercolor class, and as they say, the rest is history.  That was about 15 years ago.   In that time I have been lucky enough to with several wonderful local artists, Lucy Graves McVicker, Kathleen McGuire Morolda and Gail Bracegirdle. All of these wonderful artists taught me how to "see" life as a painting.

I look for the texture, the light and the color of all that surrounds me. Every day I see something that amazes me. I am fascinated by color. My desire is that my paintings will evoke an emotion or a mood within the viewer; a memory of a place possibly. Maybe the desire to step into the painting, to be transported to that place. Painting is an exploration of color and painting with watercolor is especially fun for me.  I am never sure what will happen when water and pigment mix on the paper. There is always a plan, but it is the unplanned designs and color combinations that bring to life some really fun and exciting paintings. I take those opportunities to take a trip to an imaginary place where I create a special landscape.

As in life, it is the unplanned events that turn into some of the best surprises. My life as an artist has been an unplanned journey and an unexpected pleasure. I have met amazing people and made wonderful new friends in fellow artist and patrons. I really can't imagine it any other way.

Fused Glass Wall Hanging by Tesoras Art

Fused Glass Wall Hanging

Do you ever just walk through one of those impossibly gorgeous gardens that so many layers of different flowers and foliage that you just wish you could freeze a little piece of them and hang them on your wall? Well thats just what I wanted to do with this piece. I have captured several butterflies dancing through a garden in shades of blues and ivories and pinks. There is so much movement in this piece that it still looks like the butterflies are ready to fly right off. Technical stuff: this gorgeous little garden measures in at 7.75" H x 4.25" W and is kiln annealed to ensure that it is as sturdy as glass can get.

Done by artist Elliot Azzam.
Born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland, I’ve been an artist for as long as I can remember. As a kid I’d draw and paint on anything I could find, and even now I usually walk around with my hands stained in every color imaginable.

Four years at Virginia Commonwealth University afforded me tremendous opportunities to explore various art forms. Concentrating on Illustration and Graphic Design, I graduated in 1991 and have been making my living in a creative capacity ever since.

These days I make my home just outside Baltimore, with my husband and two children. The simple act of living life is a constant inspiration, and I’m grateful for this particular life.
